Getting Started with Process Simulator

To get started with Process Simulator after installing it:

1. From the Windows Taskbar

1. Click Start.
2. Select All Programs.
3. Select ProModel Solutions > Process Simulator 2014 > Process Simulator 2014.

OR

1. From the Desktop - double click the Process Simulator icon on your desktop.

OR

1. From Visio 2013 or 2010

1. Click the File ribbon tab.
2. Select New from the left navigation options.
3. Under the Template Categories section, click the Process Simulator folder.
4. Either double-click on the Simulation and Predictive Analysis template or click the Create button on the right of the screen.

OR

1. From Visio 2007

1. From the File menu, select New.
2. Select the Process Simulator folder.
3. Choose the Simulation and Predictive Analysis template.

2. When accessing Process Simulator the following Getting Started dialog appears.

3. Click Skip to begin using Process Simulator immediately.
4. Click Don't display this dialog again., if you do not want this message to appear every time you open up Process Simulator.

This will create a new simulation flow chart and open the Process Simulator stencil. The Process Simulator stencil has the basic shapes needed for defining a Process Simulator model. As long as the Process Simulator stencil is open, Process Simulator will be active in Visio.
