Converting Existing Flow Charts to Process Simulator Models

If a flow chart is opened in Process Simulator that is not a Process Simulator model, or from an earlier version of Process Simulator, and you are prompted to convert the flow chart to a simulation model, answer Yes to make this conversion.

Converting a flow chart will assign simulation properties to the objects in the chart's layout. Shapes will be assigned as an activity type, and connections will be assigned as a routing type. Simply accept these default types, or change the types with the right-click menu, and hit simulate to immediately simulate your flow chart.

You may also convert an existing flow chart to a Process Simulator model by choosing the Convert Diagram option from the Process Simulator ribbon.

Please note: Although you may immediately simulate your flow chart after converting it, you will most likely want to make some modifications to the shapes' properties in order to better define your process.
