What's New in Process Simulator 2007
Six Sigma Analysis with direct integration to
Minitab
Six
Sigma analysis with direct integration to Minitab is what
Six Sigma Green Belts, Black Belts, and Master Black Belts
have been waiting for.

Simulator 2007.

about Minitab.
Simply specify which statistic you want to do a Six Sigma
analysis on in Process Simulator, run the simulation, and
Minitab automatically opens and creates Capability Analysis
and Capability Sixpack charts. Because the simulation
data is populated in Minitab’s spreadsheets, further Minitab
tests and analysis can be done.
Supports Visio 2007 and Windows Vista
Process Simulator 2007 not only works with Microsoft Visio
2007 but also runs on Windows Vista (both 32- and 64-bit versions).
New Scenario Manager
Scenario management has been simplified by consolidating the
Scenarios and Scenario Parameter dialogs into one easy to
use table.
Quickly add parameters to the Scenario Manager table by clicking
the Add Parameter(s) button and choosing your desired parameter.
Attach Route Significantly Enhanced
You now have the ability to specify which base entity types
the attaching entities can be attached to. Choose a single
or multiple entity types by checking the checkbox next to
the entity name from the list of entities in Selected Entities
Only group. Previously, your options were either to attach
to any base entity coming through the activity or to attach
to the base entity that created the attaching entity.
This new option of specifying Selected Entity Only should
significantly reduce the number of activities and routing
connections needed in more detailed process modeling requiring
attach functionality. See the simple example below:
This example shows how you can go from having a separate activity
for each unique attaching-base entity combination to one activity
that handles both. Because you can now specify in one Attach
route that Work Unit attach only to a Forms entity and in
the other Attach route that Document attach only to a Letter
entity, Activity 2 and Activity 4 can be consolidated into
Activity 2 only.
Average Cycle Time Variable
A variable, displayed during runtime, showing the Average
Cycle Time of entities exiting an activity has been added
along with the Total Exits variable that has been displayed
for explicit route-to-exit connections.
The time unit that the average cycle time is displayed in
can be changed globally in the Simulation Properties dialog:
A history of the changes and fixes to Process Simulator can
be viewed in the Version
History PDF.
