ProModel to be Interviewed on National Broadcast

“America’s Business with Mike Hambrick” is a weekly business radio program that airs on more than 60 stations nationwide. The program explores the issues and people that matter most to America’s manufacturers. This week's segment focused on how ProModel and Microsoft Technology have helped United Space Alliance enhance their Lean Six Sigma programs. Dave Tucker, Master Black Belt for the Logistics & Materials Capability Center at United Space Alliance, and Bruce Gladwin, Vice President Consulting Services at ProModel Corporation, were interviewed on this week's broadcast (June 28th-29th).

David Tucker is the Master Black Belt for the Logistics & Materials Capability Center at United Space Alliance, LLC located at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.  He has over 25 years experience working with teams and improving operations.  Dave has extensive background in numerous process improvement tools ranging from statistical process control techniques to Kaizen team facilitation methods.  He began using the ProModel simulation application eight years ago as a tool for process improvement projects.  Dave has a BSBA in Management from the University of Central Florida.  He is a Certified Manager, a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and a Certified Master Black Belt.



Bruce Gladwin, Vice President ProModel Consulting Services
Bruce Gladwin is currently serving as Vice President of Consulting Services, with oversight responsibility for ProModel’s Consulting and Customer Service operations. He has 20 years experience in simulation of manufacturing and logistics systems.

Before returning to ProModel, Bruce completed a Six Sigma Black Belt assignment for GE Power Systems. He also worked in the Manufacturing and Business Process Laboratory at GE’s Global Research Center. His work at GE focused on the application of Six Sigma quality methods to analyze and improve manufacturing and business processes.

ProModel Hosts Industry Specific Conferences: Spring, 2009

ProModel will host a series of industry-specific conferences. The first conference will be held in the Washington DC area. ProModel Assists Cleaveland Price to Implement Lean Manufacturing to Meet Market Demands

Cleaveland/Price Incorporated is a privately held company that manufactures two product lines that allow electric utilities to isolate and remotely control electric power supply (Mechanical Switches for Electric Utility Grids and Automatic Distribution Motor Operators). Their production capacity is constrained, but the market is willing to buy every additional unit that they can produce.  Their challenge was to determine how to most effectively increase capacity so they could meet market demand.  ProModel worked with the Cleaveland Price team to assess the potential of utilizing a Lean manufacturing with simulation approach to accelerate their ability to improve throughput.  Read the full article.

Cleaveland/Price’s growth is limited only by its production capacity.   Currently running 2 shifts in a 90,000 square foot
foot facility,  they realized it was time to start focusing on manufacturing methods to gain productivity and capacity. ProModel worked with the Cleaveland Price team to assess the potential of utilizing a Lean manufacturing with simulation approach to accelerate their ability to improve throughput
