| International News INNOVATION 2008 – Once again a big success! The longest-running simulation conference in Latin America held its 6th edition on October 30th and 31st in Itu, a small town near São Paulo. The agenda was planned for two different audiences: beginners and experienced professionals. More than 60 participants had the opportunity to attend 3 enhancement courses, 16 speeches regarding manufacturing, 6 sigma, Lean production, S&OP and logistics, which were led by representatives of companies, such as Votorantim Cimentos, Stihl, Vale, Instituto Eldorado, BR Metals, Poyry, Mectron, Cummins and Vallourec & Manessmann. There was an Academic Forum about Simulation Research and Education coordinated by two prestigious universities: USP and UNIFEI. Our international guest, Dr. Rob Bateman, presented new features and enhancements on ProModel 7.5.
