Product Updates

Portfolio Simulator 2007 (version 6.1.1.32) released in September
This version is currently available for download through the ProModel Solutions Café.  It contains the following fixes:

  • In some specific situations, a bulk insert error occurred while updating data due to encountering an infinite value
  • Assignments for aborted tasks were incorrectly released in some specific situations
  • Sensitivity survival and revenue curves were not being applied
  • An unclear message appeared sometimes during import when the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service was not running
  • An error appeared when a resource requirement was manually added
  • Modifications to Resource Cutoff Units were not persisting in the Profile view
  • Export was not allowed if the <My Documents> folder was on a network drive
  • A time-out error appeared when deleting profiles in sessions containing large amounts of data

ProModel, MedModel, and ServiceModel version 7.0.12.243 released in September
This version is currently available for download through the ProModel Solutions Café.  It contains the following fixes:

  • The number of characters allowed in the array import database Connection String and the Data Access Command fields was not properly set to 1024 and 4096, respectively.
  • The automatic updates utility was broken in the 7.0.11 update.

Process Simulator 2007 (version 5.1.1) to be released soon
This version will be available through automatic updates or the ProModel Solutions Café.  It will contain the following fixes:

  • Lines of logic would end up in the inverse order when copying and pasting within the begin and end brackets of an IF or WHILE statement
  • A simulation error would occur on a computer with international regional settings even though a distribution was appropriately defined using semi-colons as a scenario parameter
  • Optimizations were made so that the Scenario Parameters selection window would appear quicker.

Will include 3DR version 2.0.8 containing the following fixes:

  • The start time of the interval averaging for Entity Throughput time series charts was associated with the time of the first data point as opposed to the simulation start time.
  • The alias for a series name was not persisting after a change was made to a Saved View and then resaved.
  • Changes to the thickness of a line were not persisting in Saved Views.
  • If a Failed Arrivals table was saved in a View, the General table would show up in its place as blank any time the model was simulated without any failed arrivals.
  • Series in a State Values Time Plot originally saved in a View with multiple scenarios would be improperly displayed if one scenario was removed and the model was simulated again.

ProModel, MedModel, and ServiceModel version 7.0.13 update to be released soon
This version will be available for download through automatic updates or on the ProModel Solutions Café.  It will contain the following fixes:

  • A Wait Completion Event error would occur during simulation in a situation where a resource downtime was preempting a resource that was requested but not yet captured in a complex USE statement.
  • A Wait Completion Event error would occur during simulation in a situation where a preemptive resource downtime was terminating another resource downtime that had requested but not yet captured another resource to execute its downtime logic.
  • The File Name in the External Files table was sometimes assigned to the wrong record if it was selected by double-clicking on the file name in the Open File dialog.
  • A user was not alerted to improper use of the FOR option in a MOVE WITH statement with a dynamic or crane resource.  Previously, it was ignored but it will now generate a compiler error.
  • The MOVE statement was improperly listed in the Logic Builder as a basic statement for Move Logic.  In addition, the interface for the MOVE statement would improperly show a definable parameter which, if edited, would cause the application to close.
