International News On October 19 and 20, ProModel distributor GBU will host a User Meeting in Stuttgart, Germany. SimPlan Modelling from Munich and SQC from Zurich will co-host the event, which will include a mix of product information, practice reports and training courses. On the first day, customers will introduce simulation projects they have carried out. Participants will then have the opportunity to discuss with the experts the latest technology and techniques designed to solve complex problems and profit from the intensive exchange of experience. A tour of Stuttgart and a Swabian dinner will top off the day’s activities. Attendees will be able to deepen their ProModel know-how on the second day, by taking advantage of courses on scheduling with Orchestrate or the Process Simulator plug-in to Microsoft Visio. For more information and registration information, please contact GBU at info@gbumbh.de. Technology Transfer and Simulation Has your organization used simulation to support the introduction of
new technology to foreign subsidiaries? Have models helped you teach new
processes to overseas partners? ProModel’s international operations
group will use customer projects and other examples as the basis for a
working paper on the use of dynamic modeling in knowledge transfer. Specifically,
the study will focus on how models facilitate understanding of technical
information in a cross-cultural setting. For further information, please
